Villanueva El Diablo

A World Heritage Site since 2000, The Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas (Venezuela) is recognized today as a milestone of modern architecture. This is the story of its design by Carlos Raul Villanueva, a leading Latin American architect of the 20th century.

The documentary is the result of exhaustive and detailed archival research. With copious previously unseen material, the documentary offers an exceptional opportunity to understand how the project was conceived and what its creators were looking for with the construction of this “City of Learning”.

Villanueva, El Diablo is a documentary by Juan Andrés Bello. It was produced by Producciones Triana, with the participation of Centro Nacional Autónomo de Cinematografía and the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
